Yesterday the class had a chance to perform circus acts that they had made up. They worked in groups.
They worked on these acts for about one week.

The reason that they made up circus acts was because in the novel we are reading, The Adventures of Tommy Smith, the main character, Tommy, runs away to join the circus.

ReplyDeleteI am going to tell you a bit about the circus acts. I am in the one beside the third paragraph. I am the one in the red shirt, arm pieces, and black pants. My circus is called "Neon Circus Production!". We had an announcer, ( which was me) two balancers with feathers on their heads and in the striped skirts, two acrobats in the purple dresses, and two clowns. Thare were three other circuses.
We had an amazing week, and then a fun performance! I can't wait to see what we do next!
Wow,All of the practice finally payed of yesterday! This is Anne by the way, I was in the Neon circus productions .I was one of the balancer's, witch are the girl's with bright colourful tu-tu's on.This is my favourite project so far. I hope there will be many more I can tell you about.

Hi my name is Karly. This October me and my class were reading a book called “The adventures of Tommy Smith”. In this story a boy named Tommy was beaten on a farm and accused of stealing, that’s when the boy ran away. After sailing on a Asia and riding on a train Tommy entered Toronto and was joined in to the circus. My class separted into four groups and did a circus act. My favourite part about this circus act was when we all did front flips off the stage

ReplyDeleteSarah Sparkles here,the cicus was soooo much fun!Our group was the Neon Circus Production.It started with the balencing act.Anne and Neyy were on the stage ,standing on these big wooden blocks tossing hula hoops,while Mi and I did cartwheels on the gym floor .Then came the acrobats,Mi and I.We did some acro and Anne did flips on a big mat.Mi and I jump off the stage on to the big mat and do flips too.Our last act was the clown act.Lucas was Peanut the clown, and Skittle was Chuckles the clown.The act evolved a suitcase,a turkey baster and a horse whip.At the end of the circus we all randomly danced on the stadge.This was such a fun project,I loved doing it!
ReplyDeleteHey its Neyy.The name of my circus was“The Neon Circus Production”. I was in the balancing act we had very cool costumes. The balancer's outfits are the outfits with the bright tu-tu's and the feathered headbands. The another two act's had 3 acrobats which were Mi,Anne and Sarah Sparkles.In the clown act Skittles and Lucas were in it .At the end we had random dancing.It was very fun making up the acts.

hi its lucas again. we did circus act a couple of days ago. I was in the circus The Neon Productions. My favorite part in my act was when Emily and I were doing an clown act and I squirted water At her. then she pulled out a horse wip and chased me. I have one question for u guys in holland. Me and Miranda were throwing hoops,Julia and Karly were acrobats,Mandeep was the host,and Gavin and Angus were clowns!!!!! Are circus was the Allstar Circus.
My favourite circus was the Neon Circus!
Wow the circus was awesome.I had so much fun doing it .We all got popcorn.My act was throwing hoops to my partner Sarah.I liked the Circus Of Fun it was very funny.We all did very well for our acts.I had the best time doing it.The crew for our circus was Julia,Karly,Sarah,Mandeep,Gavin and Angus.

Hello Im Jonathan, I was in the Circus called Circ olay and I was an acrobat,with one of my friends Belmin.It got very annoying because are circus act was falling apart.But after, It actcully turned out pretty good . But watching the acts it was really fun.

ReplyDeleteHI!! Ivy here! In the circus act I did acrobatics with Cindy (the one with red hair.)We did frontflips,bridges,cartwheels and somersaults. It was so much fun! We used the stage and the floor.I think this is the best project yet. I am the one with the red shirt and gray pants on the left side. Beside me is Kensie,then Cindy,then Hannah and in front is Liam.BYE.

ReplyDeleteHI am hannah and i was apart of the fun circus.There were six of us but one was sick and she missed it.I loved every bodys performance.We did a great job.I think everybody in the class did a wonderful job and i hope we can do this again.Please comment i want to here what u have to say!!!!! Tommy Smith learns to take care of trouble (Horse).We are just at a part when Macy tells Tommy that Mr.Grammond is her grandpa and he's coming to visit!!!! Mr.Grammond is the man who killed Mr.Warren then blamed it on Tommy!
ReplyDeleteAt this point Tommy has no idea what he is going to do because Mr.Grammond didn't tell anyone when he was coming.Sarah
Tommy's learning to take care of horses. with Mazey the girl he likes. And now Mazey's grand father is Mr.Grammond.Then he came face to face with Harry Johnsonand then Harr yran away from him.Now Mr.Grammond is coming to the circus to see Mazey and her mom!Tommy said he's going to hide at the circus till Mr.Grammond leaves.But Mazey told Tommy she would inturduce him to her grand father!we havent raed anymore of the book yet.
ReplyDeleteIn The Adventures of Tommy Smith, Tommy learns that Harry Johnson{the man who killed Mr.Warren a ship lawyer} is coming to visit Masie's mother. But Masie's mother works at the circus. Uh Oh!!! tommy could reveal that he now works at the circus!!

ReplyDeleteA few weeks ago we had a circus. The circus that I was in was called The Neon Circus Productions!!!Our group's circus included balencing,acrobats and a special edition(Lucas spraying Elmo with a turkey baster!!!I was part of the act of the acrobats performing with Sarah Sparkles.That part was my favourite. Together we did the splits,back bridges,flips and summersaults.We did all of this acro in these sparkly purple costumes!!!I loved the costumes who wouldn't love them!!!:)I also liked the costumes of the balencers,bright and neon.Their costumes sure match our circus name, The Neon Circus Productions!!!
