We just spent the last 3 days at an outdoor center not far from our school. The program was called Earthkeepers. The camp is called Camp Edgewood. There are cabins in the woods, streams, meadows and many paths leading through the forest. We had a lot of fun with each other and another class. Only 14 other classes from the whole area get to go to this beautiful spot. We will send pictures once we get them uploaded..We learned many things about the earth and how to keep it running and how to preserve it.

The first day wasnt the best but the last day was blast ! this trip taught me different ways to love and care for the earth.When it was time to say goodbye they thoughtfully made sure we left with a E key and a warm cookie in our hands !

We learned about the outside and all this stuff.We had a magic spot and I sat behind a tree.It was really shaded.It was sad to leave because it was really warm the last day and we had to leave early. Hey Hey Jens! Earthkeepers was so fun! We all got to make nature names on a necklace nametag. Mine was Sunshine. Every day we had new activites to do. My favourite activite was EM's diary walk. We went on a walk around the whole camp. Our group leader even found a snake. Eww,I hate snakes! Other than that the walk was great. At the end of every day the kitchen crew would give us the cookies they made. On the last day we had a campfire and roasted marshmallows! There was the earthkeepers song that went like this:

ReplyDeleteJust yesterday our class was at an amazing field trip!!! We went to Earth Keepers. Earth Keepers is an organization run by grade 10 students.It was really fun because we got to go on hikes and we also got two out of four KEYS to becoming an Earth Keeper. The KEYS are four different keys that unlock different boxes in order uncover the secrets of being an Earth Keeper.To be an Earth Keeper you have to help the earth by not using as much electricity and water. At Earth Keepers we also found magic spots. A magic spot is where you can relax and enjoy what is around you. After Earth Keepers we found our own magic spots in our own forest beside our school. ReplyDeleteOver the last three days our class has become enviromently friendly! We've been at this place called Eden Mills. It was so fun we even got to roast marshmallows over a fire and everything!
It was beautiful. there was this Nature hike when you got to see beaver dams and awesome sights and fossils. We had to make nature names mine was Woodchip. We even got are own satchels. If your wondering what a satchel is,It's a man purse! At the end of each day the staff made us cookies.

Hi its miranda.The last three days our class went to earth keppers and learned how to be better enviromentlists to the world. At the end of each day we all got to eat giant cookies they were very good. The last day that we were there we got to roast marshmallows over the camp fire in our groups it was really fun. We also went on a scavenger hunt too. They have a earth keepers song it was cool. We got to make up nature names and put them on a little piece of wood . mine was mole rat. Oh yea and my friend Sarah kept putting big sticks in our little satchel for her dog! It was really really fun. I had a great time and on April 26 we get to go to the zoo I cant wait to go there. The helpers are grade 10 students from high school in a program called C.E.L.P. They were all really enthusiastic and excited to teach us about nature and the outdoors. The whole program is run by a MAGICAL INVISABLE nAMED E.M One activity we got to go on E.M's diary walk. We went on a walk using E.M's diary as instructions on were to go. I learned a lot about nature and how to treat it with care and I had a lot of fun doing it. We all got to make our own Nature Names. Mine was Goose. Does your class go on field trips? ReplyDeleteThis past week our class went to Earth Keepers, its a camp site that teaches you different ways to take care of the earth. When we were there we all learned about many things, first their are specks also called mulicules.There are 3 diffrent kinds of specks. Air,water and soil. Everything is made up of specks, Even humans! Then we learned about a munch line a munch line is a driffrent way of saying a food chain. Also we learned about this activity called connecter inspector.Connecter inspector is a lesson about how all the animals and plants on the earth are connected. After we did our activities we went to our magic spot where we would sit and obsorb the nature. When the day was done we would all get homemade cookies.

ReplyDeleteEarthkeepers was really fun.On the last day we had marshmallows cooked over the fire.But the bad part of it is I burned mine.The kitchen staff there were really nice they made us cookies at the end of each day.On the first day we made cool nature names. The nature names we made up we wrote on a piece of wood which had a small hole at the top so we could put string through and make a necklace. On the first day we each found our own magic spots. The magic spots were where we all wrote in a diary they gave us at the beggining of the day.Do you guys have alot of nature trips?
hey its lucas.The last three days we have been at earthkeepers.what we did there is we had learn about the suns energy, how it helps the world work our own lifes and how long ago the entire earth has evolved. over 40.5 billon years ago and human have only been alive 45 thousand years. On last day there we had to go on a scavenger hunt and we had to go and find boxes for us to lead back to ower camp and when we go to ower camp we roasted marshmallows and the headed back to ower meeting place and my group got a cookies because my group got litterless lunches after that we came back to school we went to go find a magic spot, a magic spot is a place where u can relax at.well thats all for now bye lucas over and out.

hey hey hey!! it's SKITTLE here!! On April 26 my class went to the Toronto zoo. It was so much fun! I was in a group with Gavin Taco bell Eirki and Karly. Honestly we took more pictures of our group than the actual animals! My favorite part of the trip was seeing the Hippos and the Penguins. The worst part was when I got chased by a duck! Vas Happening? Last week we went to the zoo! Yay! My group was with sassy and Anne. We had alot of fun! My favourite animals there was the gorillas. They were so cute!
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with this band called One Direction and was doing this challenge. Part of it was every time I saw a cat i had to yell pussy. So whenever I saw a wild cat at the zoo people probably thought I was a freak. But I am for that band so it's ok. What are you doing at your school? We are finishing learning about biodiversity. ReplyDeleteIt's Michaela and our class went on an awesome field trip!!! We saw lot of animals including jellyfish, komodo dragons, snakes and monkeys!!! We also adopted a penguin there!!! His name is D.J. and he is an African penguin. Some dived underwater and we saw the swim,through the underwter viewing... it was really cool!!!But out of the whole trip I think the elephants were the best part. They are going to be leaving the zoo, to a sanctuary in California, so our class wanted to see them before they left so it was kind of fun!!!

ReplyDeleteHi its miranda. We went to the zoo about a week ago but when we got off the bus there was a creepy guy staring at me and my friends it was funny. It was lots of fun we got to see all sorts of cool animals. But i was sad because the naked mole rats were closed. My favourite animal was the polar bears and the little baby polar bear was the cutest thing ever. I also liked all the other animals to. We got to watch the penguins when they were feeding them. It was really fun and i had a really good time.

hello people from englend....Its lucas we went to the tronto zoo last thursday and we adopted a penguin his name is dj.We had to be at school for 8:15 to leave to go to the zoo.we were there for 5 hours walking around the zoo.when we got back to school it was 4:20...... Our penguins name D.J. and when we got to the zoo we had to pick up the package with a picture and information about D.J.!!!!
